Ruijin hospital general ward complex construction project is a major project in Shanghai in 2008. The total construction area of the new building is over 90,000 square meters, which is the largest single hospital planned or under construction in Shanghai during the "11th five-year plan" period.

On January 5, 2002, qingpu district health bureau and zhongshan hospital affiliated to fudan university jointly established qingpu branch of zhongshan hospital affiliated to fudan university and Shanghai qingpu district central hospital. The hospital covers an area of 64,800 square meters.
