Chen Limei, chairman of Totrend Investment Group, is enthusiastically devoted to charitable causes while operating the enterprise. Since 2008, the group has established "Totrend Education Assistance Fund" in Chongming to make donations in education every year. From the beginning when nearly 30 poor students were assisted in part of their tuition fees, to now when 90 poor students are targeted to subsidize their school expenses every year, according to statistics, a total of more than thousands of poor students in Shuxin Town have received caring student grants in the past 13 years. Consequently, Chen Limei has been awarded the title of Advanced Individual of Public Welfare.

Talking about the reasons for student assistance, Chen Limei revealed that she accidentally learned that some students with excellent academic performance in Shuxin Town could not afford school fees because of financial difficulties. Therefore, she decided to fund these children every year, which she has insisted thirteen years.

“Students are the future of our motherland and the backbone of the realization of the Chinese dream. I hope to help them as best I can.” Chen Limei said. In her view, enterprises, in their own development, have the responsibility and obligation to repay the society and dedicate their love and care to children, encouraging them to live, to study and to believe they are still cared and helped by many enthusiastic people in this world.

Chen Limei also expressed her determination and commitment to continue helping these children in the future, unremittingly moving forward on the road of public welfare.
